YEAH, Jacob and Justin are both Eagle Scouts!

Jacob did his Eagle Project over two years ago. He put together over 2,000 hygiene kits for Primary Children's Hospital. It was a great project and was something that he cared a lot about after having spent time there with Brady. Justin did his project this past March and helped the children at Edgemont Elementary School put together Child ID Kits. He got his idea from Brady who did the same thing. Brady was very involved in scouting and loved it so it was nice for the boys to both do projects that Brady helped inspire. I am very thankful to have all my boys be Eagles Scouts, but most importantly I am thankful that they are just great young men who want to do what is right.

Edgemont Elementary School Red Ribbon Week Assembly

Aunt Ali asked Stephanie to put together an assembly with BYU athletes for Red Ribbon Week at our Elementary School. It is a week that kids focus on being drug and violence free. She got some of her friends from the Cross Country and Track team at BYU and they did some fun activities. They had kids put on goggles that made them see as if they had alcohol in their system. It was great, they walked like they were drunk and the kids got the idea of how it would make you feel differently. Then they told some stories and did an activity that shows what happens to your lungs if you smoke and how much harder it is to breath. It was a great experience for Stephanie to organize and plan. It was fun for her to be there with her cousins who went to school there. The kids wanted pictures after with her and her friends like they were celebrities. It was neat!

St. George with Nana & Grandpa

We went to St. George for the fall break with Nana & Grandpa. We relaxed and had a great time. We found some passes we had purchased four years ago to Fiesta Fun so we decided to go and what do you know we had FUN!

We played some miniature golf.

The boys and Grandpa had an intense go cart race. Justin was the big winner which is a little scary because he is the only one without a license. Grandp and Jacob of course said it had nothing to do with driving he was just lucky and got the fastest car. They may be right.

The boys and Grandpa spent hours each day looking in the wooded area just off the golf course for lost golf balls. They had scrapes and scratches all over by the end of the weekend and had to go at night with flashlights or in the morning before the course opened. They thought it was well worth the effort because they came home with over 250 golf balls. It was the most exciting part of the vacation.

Out with the Wisdom Teeth

When Stephanie got her wisdom teeth out it was easy to tell she was in nursing school! As they were getting her ready to sedate her she was asking questions and talking to the nurses trying to figure everything out!
Then when she woke up she was right back trying to figure out why one of her numbers was down and why this and that. The nurse couldn't believe how quickly she was asking questions when she woke up.
It seemed to be a pretty easy surgery and she was recovering quickly and went back to running, but then she got sick and she ended up having to stay down much longer than expected. I guess she learned that when the doctors and nursing say to take it easy so you'll recover quicker in the long run she learned to listen. She also learned that when nurses give instructions some patients assume they will be the exception to the rule and don't seem to listen. I don't know which lesson was more valuable.

Labor Day!

We spent the day with family and friends at a Labor Day Party at Riverside Country Club. They had a fun carnival, a yummy barbeque and diving for money in the pool for games. What more could you ask for?

Moving Out Already

After just one week it was time to move Stephanie into her new apartment. She has the best roommates in the World Sarah Edwards, Rachel Lange and Jenny Welling. They are all adorable and have a great time together. As sad as we were to see her leave us we are excited for her new adventure.

Welcome Home Stephanie!

After four months it is so nice to have Stephanie back. It took no time at all to start playing and have fun like she had never been gone. We spent all day just laughing, talking and looking at her pictures from Jerusalem. She came home with over 3,000 pictures and stories for all of them. It was so much fun just sitting and hearing all about her experiences.

Draper and Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We were lucky enough to go to both the Draper and Oquirrh Mountain Temple open houses in the same summer. They were both so beautiful and the spirit was so strong, but they were uniquely different.

Lake Powell is the best place on earth. We love it!

Girl's Camp!

Girl's Camp is always so much fun. I love it!

This is a group photo of our ward. The Edgemont 4th Ward. We had 37 girls and 10 leaders attend. We had by far the largest ward. It is the old saying the more the merrier.

This is my niece Lindsey Conger doing the Stump walk in the Confidence Course. It was great to be with both my niece and my sister Ali.


Probably my favorite part of girl's camp is Solo Time. I love that we can get away from our crazy busy life and just be out in the mountains. There isn't anything we have to rush for and have time to ponder, pray and really focus on setting goals and thinking about who we are and what changes in our lives we need to become more like our Savior.

I love this picture of the young women. This is me with a group of YCL's that helped plan camp this year. We had a great camp because we had great YCL's. I truly believe they make all the difference. They set the mood and the tone for the whole camp. We had a couple of YCL's not on this hike but this is a good chunk of them. Tara's Mom is one of my camp leaders that made me love camp which was neat to in turn be a leader to her daughter. This is all the girl's on the first hike with me. We did my favorite hike up at MIA Shalom. We hiked to Memory Grove and then along the North Rim back to camp. It is absolutely incredible.

Celebrating Independance Day with the Family!

After the parade we went over to Nana and Papa's house to spend the day with Aunt Shirley's family. Jordan definately won the award for the most spirited this year. In this picture she had already taken off most of her festive outfit, but she rocked! The boys (plus Jordan) got into a heated basketball game in the pool. They had bruises and scratches all over. Way to go Jordan for representing the girls. The cousins all had a great time pushing, hitting and almost drowning each other. What a great way to spend the holiday.

After swimming almost everyone went to enjoy Unlce Brad's rockets. They went over to Vintage Park and some of us stayed at the house. One of the rockets made it all the way back into our yard. It was amazing how high the rockets went. This was difinately a highlight of the day. I think we wore Grandpa out as you can tell by the picture.

My sister in-law Ginger invited me at the last minute to the "Stadium of Fire". I was so glad I went. Here are a few pictures of the Jonas Brother's, but my favorite part was that they retired the huge flag that has been used for the last 25 years in the show. I am sure the lady who has put so many years of blood, sweat and teers into maintaining that flag was in tears. It was neat to be a part of that.

This is a picture of them carrying the flag to be retired. They burned it in a big caldron. It was so cool to watch and feel the spirit there in the BYU stadium.

This is my boys back watching fireworks from outside the stadium. They were very thankful I left them and did not make them go into the stadium. They played games with their cousins. They had all the boy cousins from the Jensen side of the family over. The 4th of July was wonderful in almost everyway. The only problem is we missed Stephanie. On the way home from the parade that morning we all talked about how much we missed her. Spending the holiday with her would have made it even better.
